Carved over billions of years, Katherine Gorge (Nitmiluk) consists of thirteen spectacular sandstone gorges connected by rapids along the Katherine River. The gorge system is sacred to the Jawoyn people and can be explored by boat, canoe, or on foot along the clifftop walking tracks. Freshwater crocodiles bask on the rocky banks.
